Sealedwith is a way to send a message that has to be broken open. By using it you agree to what follows.
18 and over only. Sealedwith is not for children. By creating or opening a message you confirm that you are 18 or older, and you may only send messages to people who are also 18 or older.
You write a line, optionally add a photo and a short voice recording, seal it, and share a link. The person who has the link breaks the seal to open it. You can hide the photo under a scratch-off layer, and you can add a lock: a password, a question, or a time before which it cannot be opened.
A message can be opened for seven days. After that the link stops working.
You must be at least 18 to use Sealedwith. If we learn that someone under 18 is using it, we may remove the content and cut off access.
None of the following is ever allowed, in a line, a photo or a recording:
The short version: send only what both you and the person receiving it are fine with.
You can set the photo to be there for one look only, or to disappear a minute, two or five after the other person has seen it. Where you also hid it under a scratch-off layer, the clock does not start when they break the seal — it starts once they have scratched most of it away, so that someone slow does not lose the photo before seeing it.
What this means, exactly: the photo disappears from the page, and opening the link again will not bring it back. It is not a guarantee that nobody kept it. Anything shown on a screen can be photographed or captured, by any recipient, and we cannot prevent that. Send accordingly.
You are responsible for what you create and send, and for having the right to share any photo in it. Think before you send: only to someone you have good reason to believe wants to hear from you, nothing you would not want to receive yourself.
You are also responsible for keeping your own management link. It is the only way back to your message. We cannot recover it for you.
No account is needed to open one. Whoever has the link can open it, unless the sender set a lock. A message that has expired is gone for good — that is the point of it.
If you receive something that breaks these rules, or that you did not want, report it to us. We look at it, and we can remove it and cut off the sender. Never pass on, and never keep, content that looks illegal.
We may remove messages and cut off access where content breaks these terms, where we receive a well-founded report, or where it is needed to protect the service and the people using it.
The service is provided as it is. We cannot guarantee that it is always available, that a message always arrives, or that a message is still there. Do not keep anything important only inside a Sealedwith message.
So far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising in connection with the service, direct or indirect. That includes loss of content, a message that is not delivered or is delayed, a message opened by the wrong person, downtime, and lost profit, lost income or harm to your reputation or your relationships. Your own responsibility for what you send remains.
We may update these terms as the service develops. If you keep using Sealedwith after a change, you accept the new terms.
Swedish law applies to these terms and to the use of the service.
